About the Program
The Maritime Management Program is a comprehensive undergraduate program designed in response to the evolving structure of the maritime and shipping industry and increasing competition at both national and international levels. The program aims to educate qualified professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills required in ship management, maritime transportation, port and terminal operations, logistics, and commercial shipping.
The curriculum is structured to cover core areas such as maritime business administration, shipboard and shore-based operations, chartering and shipbroking, port and logistics management, international maritime law, marine insurance, finance, and economics. In addition, the program incorporates courses on risk and crisis management, sustainability, environmental protection, digitalization, and data-driven decision-making. This holistic approach enables students to comprehensively analyze operational and managerial processes within the maritime sector.
International maritime regulations and standards, safety and quality management systems, and environmental responsibility in line with IMO strategies and green shipping principles are emphasized throughout the program. Students are prepared to develop analytical, ethical, and sustainable solutions to challenges encountered in both shipboard and shore-based maritime activities.
In the advanced stages of the program, practical-oriented courses, internships, and a graduation project support students in strengthening their professional competencies.
